Information on an Opt-in Page For a Teleseminar
Q: When building an opt-in page for a teleseminar can you put any other info regarding the topics and calling information on that initial question opt-in page or do we wait until they type in their name and email address and then put the call and information and the topics that will cover on the thank you page?
Typically, the process that we use is to have an opt-in page or registration page that provides and summarizes information about what will be covered. This is generally in the form of a headline at the top followed by a sub-headline that obviously grabs their attention and includes several bullet points of some of the hot topics that will be covered for that call. And then at the bottom of that page is the opt-in. That is where they submit their name and their email address in order to get access to the call.
Now once they submit that information, they are then taken to a thank you page. On that thank you page is where you would post the dial in information for the actual call. So that is where you would put the phone number to dial into, the pin code that they must answer, the time of the call, the date and all the information related to it.
So on the opt-in page is where you provide information about what will be covered. On the thank you page is where you provide information about the call as far as the dial in details and so forth.
Now with that, you also want to set up your autoresponder sequence so that as soon as they register, they receive a message that provides them the same information that would have been on the thank you page, so that is the dial in information, the time of the call, the pin codes number, and things like that.
At the same time, this also presents an opportunity for you to incorporate an Ask Campaign because you can easily have one even though you may not get a ton of questions, it is still an easy way to include it into the process so that you can get some type of feedback and some type of an idea of what people are wanting to know. You can implement that as part of the follow-up sequence for somebody registered.
So again, they register, they come to a thank you page, on that thank you page contains the information where to dial into. It could also contain the Ask Campaign right there on the thank you page as well.
In addition when they are sent an email in the autoresponder sequence, it contains the same information on the thank you page, dial in information, date and time of the call, plus perhaps a link to the Ask page where they could submit their questions ahead of time.
