How Do I Know if Someone is Sneaking On My Teleseminar?
Q: Would you care to know and how would you know if unregistered people are sneaking onto a paid teleseminar call?
Yes, I would care. If people have paid to be on that call and you have others that are joining, who shouldn’t be, that should be a concern.
I would say, however, that you would have less of a concern if you are selling something at the end of it because obviously the more people that hear the message, the better. Still, coming on to your bridge illegally and listening to your call illegally is definitely a concern.
The reality is you can control it but I would not invest the time, energy, and effort to policing it just because when you get up to bigger numbers like 50 to 100 or 100 or more, it can be challenging to try that and go through every single person that is on the line and police them that way. There are some bridge companies that actually will do it on a one-on-one basis but that can be very expensive. What is done is each person calls in and they give their name and the bridge line company has the list of names in front of them and they say for example “Okay, Sam Smith, he is allowed to be on the call. Let him through. Jimmy Jones, he is not allowed on the call. Sorry sir, we do not have you on the registration list. We cannot give you access to the call.”
So there are some bridge companies that will do that for you. Again, it very expensive. Is it worth it in the end? Probably not for the number of people that you are going to prevent. My advice to you is just make sure that your registration process where the information that you are giving people about where to call in is given after they have paid you money and in. That way you got a level of security where people actually have to pay you in order to get that information.
