Recommended Bridge Lines

Author: Stu McLaren

Q: Do you recommend any bridge line in particular for teleseminars that people are paying to be a part of? Are there any free ones that you recommend?

Here is my recommendation for paid teleseminars. Go with a bridge line that has a proven track record. You do not want to run into a situation where you are using a free bridge line and you are trying to save a few pennies and your whole teleseminar is distorted or delayed because the free bridge line cannot handle the number of callers. If that happens, you run into a bad situation because people have paid for that call and the quality of it is not good and therefore they are going to ask for refund.

So, there is a couple of options. There is Voice Text. Voice Text is expensive but they are very good. Also, there is another expensive but high quality conference company called Black and White. One of the services that I use that is a little more affordable but you have to jump through a few more hoops is Eagle Conferencing.

The thing I like about Eagle Conferencing is the price, it is a lot more reasonable so for example I paid $75 a month for Eagle Conferencing, the only challenge is that you have to call in and reserve the bridge line. With Black and White and Voice Text, you pay $300 to $500 a month but you have that bridge line 24/7 and you can use it whenever you want.

For me, I am fine with calling in and making a reservation as far as when I need a bridge and how many people I need it for and so I am willing to go through that minor inconvenience for a significant saving. So, it really depends on your situation. For somebody who is constantly doing teleseminars it would be a severe inconvenience for him to call in and try to reserve lines all the time and you may wan to go with the more expensive options for the freedom and that flexibility of not having to worry about calling and reserving.

If you are in a penny crunch or you just want to save some money and you do not mind calling in and reserving, then Eagle Conferencing is a great option. The bottom line is you do not use a free bridge line for a paid teleseminar just because you want to ensure that quality is going to be good and therefore prevent any refund from happening.
