Well inside of a blog, most people due to blogging thinks that a blog is just a journal but in fact basically the way WordPress works is a way to manage your content in your website and it is very user friendly. So it is just the same way as you have multiple pages in your website right now. You could have multiple pages in your WordPress blog so there is no difference as far as that goes. If you have got a page with Q&A, you could have a page with your Q&A on your blog as well. If you have got a page about you, you could have the exact same thing on your blog as well. So it is just as you can add pages to your website, you can still add pages to a blog and it gives you a lot more functionality as well so you can still do the same thing.
