I Only Have 1 Subscriber - What Do I Do?

Author: Stu McLaren

Q:  I recently had a three module teleseminar series for sale. It is one hour per week for each of the calls as well as an hour question and answer period which will definitely not take an hour with only one subscriber. What advice do you have about this? Is it worth inviting the rest of my list in at a discount or is it worth even doing the calls at all and issuing a refund? Are there any other ways I can I make money off of this?

Here is what I would suggest.  Definitely, I think it will serve you well to do the whole course even though you have only got one person at that particular time. I think you are on the right track by thinking about, “Okay, how else can I generate revenue with these series of calls?” Selling them individually I think is a great idea. If you do this that person that did buy is not going to feel like they are getting ripped off but you are also creating a situation where you have the opportunity to generate some additional revenues.

So I think selling them as individual modules is great and then on those individual modules encouraging everybody else to sign up for the full course.

There are a number of things you can do about the one hour question and answer period as well. You can ask non paying members of your list their biggest questions and use them. You could think of questions yourself that you think others would ask and so you take questions live and also you could say “Here are some other questions that we are going to address at this time,” and just read the question and then provide an answer.

If there are not a lot of questions, I would not let that hold you back. Just know that you want to keep moving forward and keep going on but the simple solution is just come up with questions yourself and have them ready in case you do not have a lot of questions coming in and then you could just read through those questions and provide the answers that way.
