Proper Amount of Emails to Send Out About a Teleseminar

Author: Stu McLaren

Q: How many emails do I send out about a teleseminar?

It is a fine balance. Typically I personally send my note every other day but I know some marketers mail their list everyday. So it really depends on what you are frequency is currently and what your readers and your list subscribers’ expectations are. If you are mailing once a week and then all of a sudden you start mailing once a day, they will definitely going to say, “Hey hold on, what is going on here?” But if you get into a routine of mailing on a schedule every other day or in some cases, some people are doing everyday, some people are doing it twice a day, which is very intensive. It just really depends on what your customers’ effect.

However, with that said I want to encourage you to do multiple mailings about your teleseminar and yes you will probably have people unsubscribed here and there, but the key is do not ever be offended by somebody getting off of your list. In fact, think of it as a liberating process because you are getting rid of people who probably would not hang around anyway and I remember the first time that I received my first unsubscribe. Somebody unsubscribed for my newsletter. I was heartbroken. I could not believe it. I would crash and I even went as far as like calling them and finding out why they got off the list. They said to me, “Its, nothing personal. Your information is great. It is just not relevant for me right now.” You will have people that unsubscribed to your newsletter and that is fine.

Do not ever worry about that and so do not let hesitations to mail out stop you because you are afraid of unsubscribe. Make sure you do mail out because money is always in the followup and if you do not do regular mailing, people will not know about your call because sometimes people just are not near their computer when you send your first email. And so by doing multiple mailings, you catch people at different times and that is where you maximize your registration.

If you believe in the content of your call and you think it would be a value to your list, then I believe you are doing a disservice by not informing them of it. One email is not going to be enough. Never be afraid of inform people of your content because if they are resistant to receiving content that is going to be a value to them, then the value of that person as a customer or a subscriber goes down dramatically.

You want to build a list of evangelist, people who love hearing from you, who love receiving your information, and the only way you could do that is by going through this process. You will find that people are going to unsubscribe. It is not going to be massive amount of people but there will be people that unsubscribe but the good news is you are building a higher quality list of people who therefore they all like and trust you, want to receive your information, and therefore your conversion rates are going to go way up.
